Donate to Guatemala

You may or may not be aware that one of the largest volcanos in the world, Volcán de Fuego, erupted in Guatemala this past Sunday covering cities, towns and crucial agricultural areas with rock and ash. The most violent eruption in four decades has killed over 100 people, while hundreds are still missing and thousands are displaced because of their homes being destroyed or from mandatory evacuations.

The danger of the stratovolcano is not over. More eruptions could occur, or when it rains next mudslides of ash will flow into the cities, making it even more difficult for rescue teams.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the families who have lost their homes and their loved ones, but thoughts and prayers are not enough. Which is why through the end of the month, 100% of the proceeds from the sale of 436 Speciale Espresso will go directly to a verified GoFundMe campaign to support those affected by the eruption. For those who have subscriptions for 436, the proceeds of your purchase this month will automatically be donated. 436 Speciale Espresso is grown by third generation farmers of Finca La Bolsa located in La Libertad, Huehuetenango, which is less than 100 miles away from Volcán de Fuego.

If you want to donate without receiving coffee, please see the link in our bio of the GoFundMe or visit our website where we will have more information about the volcano eruption and link to other organizations where you can donate.

At Corsa Lusso, we've always made it a point to support the farmers who grow our coffee, which is why we only offer Direct Trade Certified coffee. Now in their time of need, we feel it is important for us to support their community in any way we can.
